| I found this bird late in the day on March 24 at Hemeon's Head. I assume it's the same bird that's been hanging out there most of the winter. While I wasn't able to get close I did manage some reasonable shots from a distance. The sun was low in the sky which is why it has that golden hue. |

| These were all taken on March 10 at Lockeport at the same time as the Mergansers and Bufflehead. There were a lot to choose from so it took a while to settle on these 5 images. |

| A few more shots from March 10 at Lockeport. There seemed to be mostly male mergansers in the area including a few juveniles that look like a female with a black eye. So I'm not sure who they were trying to impress with the displays they were putting on. Maybe it's just a territorial thing given that we're approaching the spring breeding season. |

| I took these shots on March 10 at Lockeport. I wasn't expecting to have such good luck - I had a variety of waterfowl to choose from including Scaup and Mergansers. Those shots will follow shortly. |

| I was able to finally get back down to Mathew's Lake after missing the entire month of February. Thankfully the Pintails were still there and I was able to get a few shots of one of the males. March 8. |

| These were taken on two consecutive days at the same location. The lone male was shot on February 28 - the first shot just after it had swallowed the fish he has in the final picture. The pair on the following day - March 1st as they flew out of the river at Jordan Falls. |
