Herring Gulls and Green Crabs
European Green Crabs are an invasive species in Nova Scotia and compete with native species and so are considered a nuisance here. I'm no expert on crab identification but I believe that is what is pictured here. The gulls seem to love them as do the Common Loons which are often seen feeding on them as well. This wasn't what I had planned to photograph this day but sometimes you just have to take what you are given. Maybe the gulls were thinking the same thing.

Yellow Warbler - June 1, 2019
I've decided that from here on I will only publish photos since that is what this blog has always been about. On the rare occasion I feel like writing something that might be pertinent to the photo I will still do that. Otherwise I feel like I will never get around to posting anything. So in that vein here is the first of what I hope will be many in the coming days.
