Early Thrush

First close encounter with a Hermit Thrush this year back in mid May. For some reason he didn't want to leave the area he was in and decided to put up with me and my camera. I suspect it was a recent arrival and just wanted to eat and had found a good spot to feed.

Spring Warblers - Chestnut-sided

One of my favourite Spring warblers, Chestnut-sided are fairly common but they become harder to find as the trees become fully leafed out. That's generally why it's best to get out and photograph them before that happens. The same could be said for most warbler species.

Spring Warblers - Black-throated Blue - Female

There was a male in the area but he stayed in the distance while this female seemed more curious and approached me for a closer look.

Spring Warblers - American Redstart

This is the first post of warbler photos from this Spring other than the Brier Island shots. There will be several to follow since I put in a little more time this Spring than in recent past years. It felt good to get out and photograph probably my favorite group of birds without the restrictions we all felt in the recent past.
