Swamp Sparrow

The birds arrived in full force this week. Swamp sparrows, Palm Warblers, Hermit Thrushes and Ruby-crowned Kinglets to name the most obvious in this area.

Hermit Thrush

Hermit Thrush - first one for me this year seen at West Head, April 18. When I arrived home later in the morning there was one singing not far from the house.

Fox Sparrow

Fox Sparrow in my Mother's yard, Lockeport, N.S.  There were also a couple of House Finches, one of which was singing up a storm.

Great Blue Heron

Hard to pick one picture from this set but I'll go with this one. He's a little agitated since there is another Great Blue overhead at the moment this picture was taken. Hemeon's Head, N.S.
