Black-throated Blue Warbler

One of my favourite warblers - the Black-throated Blue. After a few days of trying I think this is a pretty decent image. They've been pretty regular on my property the last few years.

Northern Parula

Parulas are one of the smallest and more colourful warblers we have in the province, also fairly common and vocal.

Common Yellowthroat

Common Yellowthroats arrived in numbers on the 15th of May here in East Jordan. They could be heard in many locations in the next couple of days.

Black-throated Green Warbler

Black-throated Green Warblers arrived around the first of May. This one was in the East Green Harbour area.

Black and White Warbler

Black and White Warblers are generally one of the first species to arrive back after the Palm and Yellow-rumped, although many Yellow-rumped over winter here. This is a male, females are not as heavily streaked.

Golden-crowned Kinglet

For comparison, here's a Golden-crowned Kinglet. These are fairly common in the area although not easy to see because of their small size.

Ruby-crowned Kinglet

Not sure if this is the same guy I photographed a couple weeks ago - this time he was a little more co-operative. Hope to have similar luck with Golden-crowned which are a lot more numerous.
