Purple Sandpiper

Finally found the Purple Sandpipers today after weeks of searching. Ruddy Turnstones and Razorbill were a bonus.

Red-breasted Merganser

First year male Red-breasted Merganser. He was particularly co-operative in getting his picture taken.

Red-necked Grebe

First decent picture of a Red-necked Grebe. He/she was feeding close to shore in East Jordan.

Sharp-shinned Hawk

The Robins scattered and then this guy appeared - near the walking bridge in Jordan Falls.

Ring-billed Gull

Was out again today with Bill. Took quite a few shots including a few of two more Barred Owls. This was one of the last shots of the day and my favourite.

Barred Owl

Another Barred Owl today on the side of the road in Little Harbour. This is just before he took off.  My flight shots weren't great, I expect that Bill got some good ones though.
 

Common Redpoll

The Redpolls have arrived in numbers after weeks of one or two. Now there are probably fourty or more coming to my feeders.
