I watched a few gulls feeding in the heavy surf on one Winter's day. Among them were two or three Iceland Gulls in various plumages, from the almost white juveniles to the grey mantled adults. Paler than a Herring Gull and slightly smaller these birds are regular Winter visitors to our shores.
